The End is a Curve
. . for violin and computer

a.k.a. Gómez

The folowing piece for violin and computer was made after several meetings with violinist Barbara Luneberg, to whoam it is dedicated to. Her insight, not only on her instrument but on music, life as a musician and the state of music today inspired the piece and its title, The End is a Curve.

What was on my mind with this music was a constant, tense current which evolved and came in and out of slightly different moods before reaching a peak of cascaades. The flow of the piece seems to not end in a statement but rather leave the issue at an agreement to continue later. The music then takes a role of being always a slice of time, a part of a moment where reaching the end leaves us with more ideas for conversation.
